the Owner of the Dayevery matter returns to Him

After praise and mercy comes the Day of Recompense. In the hadith of the divided prayer, Allah answers this line: My servant has related all matters to Me. The servant hands over the final word.

A coworker takes credit for your work. A relative cheats you out of an inheritance and gets away with it. It feels like the story ends there. This verse says it does not. There is a Day that belongs to Allah alone, and nothing is lost on it.

If no one sees it now, it is gone forever.

Every account is kept and settled on a Day only Allah owns.
