Mikailميكائيل
One of the two angels named together in the Quran, beside Jibril.
The Quran names Mikail once, when some of the Jews of Madinah said Jibril was their enemy. Allah answered that whoever is an enemy to Jibril and Mikail is an enemy to Allah. Scholars say he is entrusted with rain and the growing of provision. The Prophet ﷺ named him in his prayer at night.
What does the Quran say?
Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and His messengers and Gabriel and Michael - then indeed, Allah is an enemy to the disbelievers.
Quran 2:98
What does the hadith say?
The lesson
The angels are one team under one Lord; you cannot love some and hate others.
