The three men in the cave, Saved by sincere deeds
In the hadithSaved by sincere deeds
The three men in the caveأصحاب الغار
Three travellers trapped by a rock, freed one by one through their most sincere deeds.
A rock sealed three men inside a cave. Each called on Allah by a deed done only for Him: one had waited all night with milk for his sleeping parents, one walked away from sin with his cousin out of fear of Allah, and one grew a worker's forgotten wage into a herd and gave it all back. With each prayer the rock moved, until they walked free.
What does the hadith say?
The lesson
Deeds done in secret for Allah are what you can call on in a crisis.
