The Byzantine emperor who received the Prophet's ﷺ letter and questioned Abu Sufyan about him.

He took the throne as Persia overran the empire, then turned the war around and won by 628. That year the Prophet's ﷺ letter reached him, and he questioned Abu Sufyan closely about the Prophet. He did not accept Islam, and lost Syria at Yarmuk in 636.
