Granddaughter of the Prophet ﷺ who, according to Sunni sources, married Umar ibn al-Khattab.
Umm Kulthum was the younger daughter of Ali and Fatimah. Sunni sources report that Umar ibn al-Khattab asked for her hand to be joined by marriage to the Prophet's ﷺ family, and that she bore him a son, Zayd. She and Zayd are said to have died on the same day.
