An early emigrant to Abyssinia who married the Prophet ﷺ after Khadijah's death.
Sawdah was among the first Muslims and emigrated to Abyssinia with her husband, who died after they returned. The Prophet ﷺ married her after Khadijah died, and she cared for his household and young daughters. She was known for her good humour. Later in life she gave her turn with the Prophet ﷺ to Aishah.
