The Owner of the Two Gardensصاحب الجنتين

A rich man in a Quranic parable who boasted his gardens would never perish, until they did.

Allah gave him two gardens of grapevines, ringed with palms, a river between them. He told his poorer companion: I have more wealth and men than you, and I do not think this will ever end. The companion warned him: why did you not say, what Allah wills? By morning his gardens were ruined, and he wrung his hands: if only I had not associated anyone with my Lord.

What does the Quran say?

And why did you, when you entered your garden, not say, 'What Allah willed [has occurred]; there is no power except in Allah '? Although you see me less than you in wealth and children,

Quran 18:39
