Dhul-Khuwaysirah

Who told the Prophet ﷺ to be justc. 630 CE · 8 AH

As the Prophet ﷺ shared out wealth, a man of Banu Tamim stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, be just!' The Prophet ﷺ replied: 'Woe to you, who would be just if I were not?'

How it ended

The Prophet ﷺ said that people would come from his kind who recite the Quran but it goes no deeper than their throats, and pass out of Islam as an arrow passes through its game.

And among them are some who criticize you concerning the [distribution of] charities. If they are given from them, they approve; but if they are not given from them, at once they become angry.

Quran 9:58

The lessonZeal without humility led him to judge the Prophet ﷺ himself.
