Uhud, Madinah

Anas ibn Malik's uncle, who missed Badr, vowed to make up for it, and fell at Uhud.

Anas ibn al-Nadr grieved that he had missed Badr and promised that Allah would see what he did next time. At Uhud, as others fell back, he pressed forward saying he could smell Paradise beyond the mountain. He was found with over eighty wounds, known only by his sister from his fingertips.
