A young Ansari whose report about the hypocrite chief was confirmed by Surah al-Munafiqun.

On a campaign, the boy Zayd heard Abdullah ibn Ubayy say that when they returned to Madinah the 'honoured' would drive out the 'humble'. He told the Prophet ﷺ. Ibn Ubayy swore he never said it, and Zayd was doubted until Allah revealed 63:8. Zayd later lived in Kufa and narrated many hadith.

They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
