Approximate dateMadinah

An early believer whose words before Badr delighted the Prophet ﷺ.

Before Badr, when the Muslims faced an army three times their size, al-Miqdad stood and said they would not say what Musa's people said, 'Go, you and your Lord, and fight', but would fight on his right and left. The Prophet's face lit up. He is said to be the only Muslim on horseback at Badr. He died near Madinah around 653.
