A Christian from Palestine who became Muslim and told of meeting a chained man on an island.

Tamim came to Madinah in 630 and accepted Islam. He told the Prophet ﷺ of a voyage when a storm drove his ship to an island where he met a strange beast and a chained man who asked about the coming prophet. The Prophet ﷺ gathered the people to repeat the story. Tamim later lived in Palestine.
