Amr in Alexandria
Alexandria, Egypt's Greek capital, surrenders to Amr by treaty and the Byzantine garrison sails away. A Byzantine fleet retakes it in 645; Amr wins it back.
How it touches Islam Egypt, the land of Musa and Firaun in the Quran, becomes Muslim land and in time the home of al-Azhar.
