The Great Schism

The churches of Rome and Constantinople excommunicate each other. Christianity splits into a Catholic West and an Orthodox East.

How it touches Islam The Quran warns against splitting after clear proofs (3:105); the divided Christian world met the Seljuks seventeen years later at Manzikert.

And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment.
