Aisha's ward, whose hadith the caliph Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz ordered to be written down.

An orphan of the Ansar raised in Aisha's household, she became the main keeper of Aisha's hadith and rulings. The judges of Madinah consulted her, and at least one changed a verdict after hearing her report. Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz told his governor Abu Bakr ibn Hazm to record her narrations.

What grew out of it?

Much of what we know from Aisha reached later books through her.
