al-Abwaالأبواء
The village between Makkah and Madinah where the Prophet's ﷺ mother Aminah died.
Aminah took her six-year-old son to Yathrib to visit his relatives; on the way back she fell ill and died at al-Abwa. Years later, the Prophet ﷺ visited her grave and wept. His first expedition after the Hijrah, in 623, came here.
