Nicaea (Iznik)نيقية
Where the church council of 325 defined the Trinity, and later the first Seljuk capital in Anatolia.
In 325 Constantine gathered bishops here to settle Isa's nature, and the creed they made declared him God. The Quran answers: 'The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah... do not say Three' (4:171). The Seljuks took Nicaea in 1081, and its later tiles adorned Ottoman mosques.
