The well in Najd where about seventy Quran reciters were treacherously killed in 625.
The Prophet ﷺ sent about seventy Companions known for their Quran to teach a Najdi tribe at its request. At this well they were ambushed and killed. Grieved, the Prophet ﷺ supplicated against the killers in the Qunut of the prayer for a month.
