Wadi Nakhlaوادي نخلة
The valley between Makkah and Ta'if where a band of jinn heard the Quran and believed.
As the Prophet ﷺ prayed at dawn in this valley, a group of jinn passed, listened to the Quran and went back to their people as warners (46:29-31). Surah al-Jinn begins with their words: 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an' (72:1). Commentators link the night to the journey back from Ta'if.
