Before Islam, Arabia was a land of tribes, poets and caravan towns, between the empires of Rome and Persia. Hud, Salih and Shuayb were sent to its ancient peoples, and Ibrahim and Ismail built the Kaaba in its heart. Within the Prophet's ﷺ lifetime it was united under Islam for the first time.
