The Nile land south of Egypt, linked by some commentators to Luqman.
Nubia's kingdoms traded and fought with Egypt for thousands of years and later became Christian. Some commentators said the wise man Luqman was a Nubian. In 652 the Muslims of Egypt and the Nubian kingdom of Makuria signed the Baqt treaty, which kept peace for six centuries.
