Safa and Marwahالصفا والمروة
Two low hills by the Kaaba where Hajar ran for water and pilgrims still walk.
Hajar ran between these hills searching for water for Ismail. The Quran names them among the symbols of Allah (2:158), and pilgrims walk between them seven times. From Safa the Prophet ﷺ first called Quraysh openly to Islam. Today the course lies inside the mosque.
