Lahoreلاهور
Punjab's city of saints and Mughal gardens, resting place of Ali Hujwiri and Iqbal.
Lahore came under the Ghaznavids in the 11th century. The Sufi Ali Hujwiri, author of Kashf al-Mahjub, is buried here at Data Darbar. The Mughals made it a capital of gardens; Aurangzeb's Badshahi Mosque (1673) is among the largest in the world, and the poet Muhammad Iqbal lies at its gate.
