The mysterious 'people of the well', named twice among the destroyed nations.
The Quran lists the Ashab al-Rass between Ad, Thamud and the people of Nuh (25:38, 50:12) but tells no story. Commentators differ widely: a people who threw their prophet into a well, a town in Najd, or a land by the Aras river in the Caucasus.
