Zamzam, Also Zamzam, the well of Ismail
WellAlso Zamzam, the well of Ismail
Zamzamزمزم
The well that burst out for Hajar and baby Ismail, still flowing beside the Kaaba.
When Hajar ran seven times between Safa and Marwah looking for water, an angel struck the ground and water gushed out beside Ismail. The well drew the tribe of Jurhum to settle, was later buried and forgotten, and was dug out again by Abd al-Muttalib after a dream. Pilgrims drink from it to this day.
