Srebrenicaسريبرينيتسا
The Bosnian town where over 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed in July 1995.
During the Bosnian war, Srebrenica was declared a UN safe area, yet in July 1995 Bosnian Serb forces overran it and killed more than 8,000 Bosniak Muslims. International courts ruled it a genocide, the worst massacre in Europe since the Second World War.
